Damian Chan
Director, Electronics Cluster, Singapore Economic Development Board

Mr. Damian Chan is presently the Director of Electronics Cluster Group in EDB. Concurrently, he is Director of Americas. He oversees the promotion and development of the Electronics industry in Singapore.

Prior to this position, he was the Centre Director of EDB Dallas Centre from 2002 to 2005. He joined EDB in 1996. He received a Bachelor of Arts (Hon) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University in 1996.

Kevin Meehan
Partner, Bain & Company

Kevin Meehan is a partner with Bain & Company, a leading global business consulting firm, and is based in Bain’s SE Asia office in Singapore.  He is the head of the firm's Technology practice in SE Asia and a member of the global Oil & Gas practice.

Mr Meehan has worked with clients in variety of industries, such as semiconductors, wireless communications, oil and gas, manufacturing, and media,  among others.  His projects have spanned a wide range of business issues, including growth strategy, cost reduction, strategic due diligence, supply chain management, post merger integration and organizational effectiveness.

Previously, Mr Meehan worked for Teradyne, a leading manufacturer of semiconductor test equipment, serving initially as a product manager in Boston and later as regional marketing and business development manager in Southeast Asia.  Prior to Teradyne, he worked as an engineer in the US Army Corps of Engineers.  He completed his graduate studies as a Leaders for Manufacturing Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), earning an MS in Materials Science (Electronic Materials) as well as an MBA.  He also holds a BSc in Engineering Physics (Lasers and Optics) from the United States Military Academy.

Clark Tseng
Senior Research Manager, SEMI

Clark is a senior research manager at SEMI, a global industry association serving the manufacturing supply chains for semiconductor industry. His major responsibility is to track and evaluate front-end fab investment in Asia Pacific region. His research also spans over flat panel display and PV industries. His expertise includes in-depth analysis of the industry dynamics, as well as the fundamentals of market forecasting, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.

Prior to SEMI, Clark worked for Qimonda (Infineon) as the manager at Strategy and Business Development division, where he managed market & competitive intelligence function in Asia/Pacific. In this role, he tracked market supply/demand, pricing, competitors’ capacity planning, technology roadmap, and product portfolios.
Clark Tseng received a bachelor business administration and a bachelor of arts in international relations from National Chengchi University in Taiwan.

  Marcel van Roosmalen
Business Unit Manager USB & Singapore Country Manager, ST-Ericsson

Marcel van Roosmalen was born in Netherlands in 1966. He holds an MSc EE degree from the Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands.

After working for Ericsson as IC Design manager, Philips Semiconductors/NXP as Product line Manager he now holds the position of BU Manager USB and Singapore Country manager for ST-Ericsson.

  Oyvind Hasaas
Senior Vice President
REC (Renewable Energy Corporation) Singapore


Øyvind Hasaas is appointed Chairman, BOD, REC Group Coordinator in Singapore. He spent his early years as Financial Controller in Saga Petrochemicals. From 1981, he has headed numerous divisions within Norsk Hydro ASA, starting from Financial Controller to Head of Business Development Hydro Agri, Brussels,  to Head of Hydro Business and Industrial Parks, where he was in charge of several “turn-arounds”, restructuring projects and shut downs as well as launch of new products and market segments. 

Øyvind has an MBA from University of Karlstad, Sweden and has attended management courses at IMD and INSEAD.

Dwight Carlson
Chairman and CEO, Coherix Inc.

Mr.  Dwight Carlson, chairman and CEO of Coherix Inc.  Dwight Carlson founded Coherix in 2003.
Prior to founding Coherix in 2003, Carlson had served as the CEO of Perceptron, a company which he founded in 1981.Perceptron pioneered in the development and introduction of laser-based metrology for use in the automotive industry.Carlson also was a co-founder and CEO of Xycom, where he developed the first microcomputer used for self-service gas-pump dispensing.Gas-pump technology developed at Xycom currently is used throughout the world.  Carlson is the founder and chairman of the Engineering & Manufacturing Innovation Alliance and previously co-founded and chaired the Auto Body Consortium. He currently serves on a number of advisory boards, including the Samuel Zell and Robert H. Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.

Dwight is the founder and chairman of the Engineering & Manufacturing Innovation Alliance and previously co-founded and chaired the Auto Body Consortium. He currently serves on a number of advisory boards, including the Samuel Zell and Robert H. Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, and is chairman of the Michigan Innovation Certificate Deposit (MICD) Advisory Board.

A former chairman of the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC), he co-chaired the National Coalition for Advanced Manufacturing (NACFAM); served on the advisory board of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and was on the National Advisory Board of the Engineering College of the University of Michigan.
