Electronics - Key enabler for new growth areas in Singapore

Electronics is a key contributor to the Singapore economy generating over a quarter of Singapore’s manufacturing output. From the modest beginning in semiconductor packaging in the 1960s, Singapore has expanded in depth and breadth and is now a vital node in electronics. EDB aims to transform Singapore into a world-class innovation-driven electronics capital, providing technology, manufacturing and business solutions; and enabling the development of new growth areas in plastic electronics, security, bioelectronics and green electronics.
